Deliver me from Swedish furniture.
Deliver me from clever art.
May I never be complete.
May I never be content.
May I never be perfect.

What would happen if I were to leave the university for a second time?

What would happen if I just took my backpack and went away? Working in a cruise, maybe. I have the English skills to do so. Or just taking a visa to whatever country and deciding what I would do once I'm there.

The Family would be so disappointed.

But the truth is, the reason I entered college in the fist place was to please them. And because I can't be economically dependant of them forever, and because Smart Girls Are Supposed to Have a Career; and as a Smart Girl, my pride wouldn't let me NOT enter college. All those are good, logical reasons.

But I don't want to be here, stuck in this city for the next five years. I don't like to be a barely-recovered hikikomori struggling to carry out a routine. I don't want to finish this, get a 9-5 job and work 'till I'm 60 and able to retire. That prospect horrifies me.

I like studying Anthropology, but the stress is killing me, and I'm failing, and not for a lack of brains. I'm just so demotivated. I have papers to present, and tests and exams to take, and I just can't find the will to do this.

I want adventure. I want a purpose. I want-- I just don't want to be here. There must be something else to life than this.

What should I do?

~ Round 1:

Lynx: *Su turno!
Profe: *Interrumpe* ... Cómo se te ocurre decir eso :|||
Lynx: ... Si me permite.

~Puntaje Final:

... Un 5.0 :|||||||||||||||||||||||||||| *está TAN not-impressed right now* Fuck you, profe. Fuck you.

The How's My Driving? Meme

Hit me /o/

---------------

Dad left for Guatemala today. It's sad to say it like this, but I think it's really for the best.

'sides, now I don't have to breathe in the same air his wife does. Yay.

I'm... really, really tired. *sigh*

In other news! Since I regained ownership of my Digital Devil Saga copy, I started a new cycle today 8Db I had forgotten how awesome this game is. <333

Also: I cut my hair like a Vulcan. It's the nerdiest thing I've ever done. I REGRET NOTHING.

I just dyed my hair blue 8Db

Though, technically, it came out green. BRILLIANT EMERALD *insert purple-prose adjective* GREEN. I... don't really care about my looks, to be honest, but I had been wanting to do some change for a while, and if it came out too badly, well, I wouldn't mind it all that much.

To spare your bandwidth, small pics under the cut. )

Today was an awful day. And I thought, if seeing something this small could make me smile for a bit, then maybe I should do the same for you.

"If there is one person or more on your friends list who makes your world a better place just because they exist, and who you would not have met (in real life or not) without the Internet, then post this same sentence in your journal."

As sad as it sounds, I wouldn't have met any of my friends without the Internet. Even those who are now part of my IRL-tiems.

All of you are awesome and special to me. ILU. ♥

O-ok. I'm going to get a tattoo soon. I've been wanting to do it for a long time, but I never found a design I liked. (I'd wanted a lynx in a tribal, thick-lined style.)

So! Tonight I fixed the problem by drawing a design myself. Excuse the poor quality of the photo, I took it with the webcam. The compass rose was thrown in as an afterthought, but I kinda like the symbol, and how it visually balances the lynx.

What do you guys think? Is this good enough to get drawn in my skin permanently? :O

CRUCE TEMPORAL

¡Bienvenidos al primer RPG Dressing Room en Español!

Adivina. ¡No hay límites!

The best thing of having a new (HUGE! HISTORIC!) fandom is the sheer amount of porn fics I'm getting on my friendlist.

It's so nice to have an OTP that gets all this attention, OMG. And even my minor ships have this ENORMOUS fanbase, for when I want some variety.

... I have to go to classes and I still haven't read half of the fics that have been posted today. This is new :'D And I think I love it.

I blame sleep deprivation.

1 - Just like the hearse you die to get in again (Helena)
2 - This is how we like to do it in the murder scene (Give’em hell, kid)
3 - So send my resignation to the bride and the groom. (To the end)
4 - But nobody cares if you´re losing yourself (You know what they do to guys like us in prison)
5 - I never want to let you down or have you go, It´s better off this way (I’m not okay (I promise))
6 - If I died, we'd be together now (The ghost of you)
7 - I´m just the worst kind of guy to argue with what you might find (The jetset life is gonna kill you)
8 - Sister, I´m not much a poet, but a criminal (Thank you for the venom)
9 - Don´t stop if I fall and don´t look back (Hang’em high)
10 - I´m coming back from the dead and I´ll take you home with me (It’s not a fashion statement, It’s a fucking deathwish)
11 - It isn´t that much fun staring down a loaded gun (Cemetery drive)
12 - And we´ll all dance alone to the tune of your death (I never told you what I do for a living)

I claimed it for Metal Gear Solid. What was I thinking. *headwall* This will come out ridiculously angsty!

Let's hope I manage to write something other than Snake/Otacon on it, though.

SO METAL GEAR RAIDEN RISING IS IT, THEN?

Pffffff, he looked so damn happy when he crushed the hopes of hundreds of fanboys who were expecting another Big Boss game in a single blow. And I lol'd so much.

If this game is not a MGS4 prequel with the story of how Raiden rescued Sunny, I'll cry a lot.

(PS: Hikaru, Hikaru! It's for the XBox360! 8DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD Can I go play it at your house? yes? yes? *puppy eyes*)

See, the thing is, I never got to be a Trekkie. I used to watch the (scattered, damn you local TV) episodes our national TV channel transmitted every Sunday when I was 6 or 7 years old. I know I loved it, and I remember never missing an episode. I remember watching it with my dad, and him explaining the science-y parts. (Something he did with every Sci-Fi thing we watched together.)

After then, I forgot about the series existance, 'till I got on the Internet for the first time and learnt that my weird habits and hobbies qualified me as a nerd (an almost unknown concept here in my Third-World country).

'cept for the occasional reference, trivia gotten from the internet, and the knowledge that it was -more or less- the first official fandom ever, I hadn't thought about Star Trek in the last thirteen years. I can't, for example, quote things from the episodes or know who exactly each character in the Enterprise is. (Though I do know about the major ones.)

Yet my face during the whole Star Trek movie was a total "8DDDDDDDDDDDDDD^9000". Every reference, every inner joke... it was something I could almost claim as a part of my childhood. I barely remembered the characters, yet I cheered whenever someone I remembered made an appearance. I actually SQUEED OUT LOUD when Old Spock Nimoy did his part.

I was the kind of good nostalgia you can get from things you almost had.

So I was able forgive the movie's mistakes (come on, black holes DO NOT WORK LIKE THAT, dude) and I was the happiest nerd on earth for the two hours the movie lasted. THE HAPPIEST, I TELL YOU.

And why yes, I ship Kirk/Spock like a cheap squealing fangirl, thank you very much.

WHAT. WHAT. IS THAT A MIDDLE AGED BIG BOSS. NEWSFLASH: The translation of the interview points that, actually, IT'S NOT BIG BOSS. Dun dun dun.

Also: KOJIMA, YOU TROLL. You can't give interviews and then blank out half the words. It's a new kind of low, WTF >EEEE

Isn't it sad that my first reaction at seeing the cyborg ninja was "leave Raiden aloooooone, b'awwwww"?

Please let it be a double prequel, please let it be a double prequel ;______;
